I absolutely love this place! I have been 4 times already and I will be going back until I have tried everything vegan on the menu. The pizza with vegan cheese is out of this world and the veggie shepherds pie is wonderful. My only complaint is that the menu is rather limited and I'm sorry that they have to compromise and serve dairy cheese and honey.
The vegan pizza is fabulous. I especially like the base. The service and ambiance gets thumbs up too.

I ate at Spiceburg last night and had a wholly wonderful experience. I am vegan and my partner vegetarian, and we shared a set of vegan dishes, none of which was less than decent. The service was prompt, friendly and helpful. The manager gave his recommendations which we swiftly agreed to and ordered.
We enjoyed 2 homemade ginger beers, which were refreshing and tangy. Our starter (a secret recommendation from the manager on a "you don't like it, you don't pay for it" agreement) was Pepper Gobi, a tasty peppery cauliflower dish. I wish I could remember the names of our mains, but they included a giant, light, crispy pancake filled with potato curry; poppadums with spicy apricot sambal; a coconut vegetable curry; and a chappati. Only the chappati was slightly disappointing, whilst the rest was unbelievably good.
We were a little bit sad to discover there was no vegan dessert, but this is to be expected. One could enjoy a chocolate soy milk drink (as advertised by the manager) if one had enough room left for it... I was enthralled to be catered for at all.
The meal (no alcohol) was around R110 a head, pricy for a student like me, but reasonable for professionals. I would thoroughly recommend Spiceburg. Our experience was fantastic.
Had dinner here last night. While there is a fair number of vegan options on the menu, I was not very impressed with the food. The wine list is limited but passable. For starters we shared the crispy brinjal chips. The spicy masala coating was yummy but the brinjal was not crunchy and a bit watery in places. The portion was quite small for R40. I had the aloo palak (potato spinach curry) with rice and a chapati for mains. It was quite tasteless. While the romali roti is indicated as vegan on the menu, I was given a brown flour dry chapati instead. Very disappointing. My boyfriend is an omni and had the chicken vindaloo. He ordered the hot and it came tasting less than mild. It was not lacking in taste though so he was satisfied. Also no vegan desserts on the menu. :( Will not be going back to Spiceburg.
