Khana Khazana (meaning 'ancient treasure') is an authentic vegan-friendly Indian restaurant and take-away in northwest Jo'burg. Indian food is known for its delicate flavours and silky sauces, and each dish is individually prepared with fresh herbs and spices.
They not only have vegan starter to main course dishes available, but they can also modify any of their vegetable dishes into vegan dishes if you would like to have one.

Chandani
A small intimate restaurant that recreates exotic India, both with food and décor. Everything is authentic - they import their spices directly from India as well as their chefs.
All dishes are individually prepared in the style of the Mughals who ruled India for generations. They follow the ancient Hindu tradition of "stricly vegetarian", which excludes eggs but des include dairy items. Despite this, most dishes on the menu can be prepared without using any animal products.

This family owned take away/café is always spotless, the service always excellent and the food great! Rachma and Ebrahim always greet with a friendly smile and tend to remember every patron's name. They serve halal, vegetarian and vegan food. Most Vegatarian dishes can easily be vegan - just ask them and mention that you are vegan!

Our listings service is free of charge.
To qualify for a listing on our site as a vegan-friendly restaurant, an eatery must have:
- 3 vegan starters and 3 vegan main courses on its menu (can include 1 salad each course); or
- For off-menu dining options - 1 vegan starter and 1 vegan main course that are changed daily.
To qualify for a listing as a vegan-friendly fastfood outlet, an establishment must have:
- 3 vegan main courses on its menu (can include 1 salad); or
- For off-menu dining options - 1 vegan main course that is changed daily.
