Listings Criteria for Vegan-friendly Eateries
In this section we list out dining establishments that are suitable for vegans in South Africa. Our dual purpose is to promote restaurants and fastfood outlets that offer vegan dining choices whilst also providing a useful guide for South African vegans searching for places to eat. Our listings service is free of charge.
To qualify for a listing on our site as a vegan-friendly restaurant, an eatery must have the following vegan options:
- 3 starters and 3 main courses on its menu (can include 1 salad each course); or
- For dining options that are not on the menu - 1 starter and 1 main course that are changed daily.
To qualify for a listing as a vegan-friendly fastfood outlet, an establishment must have the following vegan options:
- 3 main courses on its menu (can include 1 salad); or
- For dining options that are not on the menu - 1 main course that is changed daily.
If your business meets either of these criteria and you would like to be listed here, we'll gladly reward you with a free listing. Please contact us now to get your vegan-friendly restaurant listed and help promote veganism in South Africa.
Note: all of these South African restaurants are suitable for vegetarians, and many are likely to have more additional vegetarian options than the minimum number detailed in the criteria above.

Testimonials:
"What a great website, thanks. We're not vegans, but are dairy intolerant and not great meat eaters. I found many useful places to get the alternatives we need for a varied and tasty diet, without the moans of "why can't I have ..." from my 10 yr old son!" - Denise Joy, South Africa
