Kuhestan is an organic avocado and raspberry farm situated on the crest of Magoebaskloof Pass in Limpopo. Kuhestan Persian products are based on ancient Persian recipes and prepared with wholesome ingredients; where possible organic and grown on the farm. Life Xanthum Gum
Xanthan gum is made from maize and provides the texture which is lacking in bread and cakes made without the gluten contained in wheat flour. It is simply added to the dry ingredients in baking. Apart from those who avoid wheat products because they perform better without it, there are nearly as many people who can not eat products made from wheat flour and cereals such as barley because they have been diagnosed as Coeliac or are allergic to wheat.

Za'atar is an everyday staple in the Middle East; a herb mix of wild thyme, toasted sesame and sumac. It is a zesty seasoning, delicious with olive oil on fresh bread, on tomato salads or rubbed into veggies before roasting ... but be warned, its fresh taste is addictive!
Zaytoun's za'atar is sourced from a women's cooperative in Jenin, wild-harvested. It is available in 80g jars from selected spice shops in the Durban area.
