Audacia is a 32 hectare wine farm in South Africa's prime winemaking region. The maxim in property is "location, location, location" - and Audacia has that in spades. It's situated in 'The Golden Triangle' of Stellenbosch, a unique patch of land at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain.
It's special because this is where some of South Africa's best red wines, particularly Shiraz, are grown. It's for this reason - and that its vineyards are exclusively planted to red grape varieties – that Audacia has dubbed itself "The Red Wine Boutique Winery".

Catherine Marshall Wines
Premium quality hand crafted wines with the focus on Pinot Noir. Other wines include Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, a Rhone style Shiraz blend and a dessert wine based in Elgin - an excellent area for premium grape growing.
Wines are handled with minimal chemical intervention and only the finest grapes are procured. No animal products have been used in the production of these wines since 2011. Cranefields Wines
Cranefields produce natural dry red wine for easy drinking. These include 2006 and 2007 wines - Cranefields Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and a blend called Red Bishop. All wines are aged in American and French oak barrels for 16 months.
The grapes are grown on the Cranefields farm in the Overberg and the wine is made at Welgevallen Cellar in Stellenbosch.
Cranefields wines are vegan and are available in the Western Cape.

Creation Wines of Hermanus produce vegan white wines. These include a well-balanced sauvignon blanc, a fruity and fragrant viognier, a Bordeaux-style sauvignon blanc/semillon, and a full bodied chardonnay.

D'Aria Winery
D'Aria's commitment to excellence has been reflected in the immediate success of its wines from the launch of its range in 2008. D'Aria is known for its award winning sauvignon blancs and outstanding reds, particularly merlot and shiraz. Joostenberg Wines
Joostenberg is a small family owned wine farm that produces an exclusive range of wines with an emphasis on individuality, sustainable farming and natural winemaking. In keeping with this commitment and a desire to produce wines that reflect their origin, all the vineyards are farmed organically.

Eben Sadie has led a quality revolution in the Swartland region and has arquably done more than any single winemaker for South Africa's international profile as a fine-wine producer. It is a combination of charisma, talent, hard-won experience and sheer hard work.
The chenin blanc-based Palladius and the Columella label founded a new category of distinctive Cape white blends. Saltare produce handmade boutique wines. They have a zero dosage Méthode Cap Classique, a Chenin blanc and Syrah; all made in small quantities with minimal interference. Their wines are also produced with low sulphur levels.

Sequillo Cellar
The word Sequillo comes from Latin and means an arid, dry place of great purity: a very good description of the Swartland. Sequillo wines strive to capture this and reflect the soils and a strong sense of place; unrefined and unfiltered.
Their winemaking is time-honoured and traditional and avoids the intervention of technology and mechanisation. Grapes are picked from un-irrigated vineyards which are spread out over the Swartland grape growing region.

Seven Sisters
This company was born in 2005 by a family of 7 sisters who grew up in the small fishing village of Paternoster. The sisters reunited to create fine vegan wines, carefully selected to match the style and personality of each sister, celebrate their bond and devotion to one another.
Their wines have won double gold status and were selected by American Airlines, the first South African wine to be so.
Their farm is in Stellenbosch, a jewel hidden between mountains and valleys in the heart of the winelands.

Citrusdal Wines produces vegan Fairtrade wines called Six Hats. This relates directly back to the 6 principles that form the core of their philosophy - Partnership, Potential, Change, Equity, Dignity and Sustainability.
They seek to produce wines that will contribute to the lives of the people whose hard work is expressed in each bottle. Fairtrade sets minimum prices for grapes and an additional percentage of the sales are given back to the community who use the money to build schools, clinics and other projects to improve their lives.

South Hill
South Hill produces cabernet sauvignon, sauvignon blanc and rose vegan wines. The cold winters, cool summers, plentiful water and the deep fertile soils of the Elgin Valley means that influential and respected wine makers are now investing in the region.
The underlying philosophy behind the redevelopment of the South Hill farm has been to capitalise on the natural beauty in a way that is sensitive to the local surroundings.

Spice Route Wines
Klein Amoskuil farm in Malmesbury is home to Spice Route's Swartland terroir styled wines. The Spice Route Winery signature wine style matches traditional practices in the vineyards with modern, minimalist approaches in the cellar, to produce exceptionally ripe and deep-flavoured wines.
All Spice Route red wines and all their white wines since 2011 are produced in a vegan-friendly way.

Spookfontein
Legend has it that in the flowing waters of the natural spring (“spookfontein”) one can see a spirit or ghost...
Spookfontein is a boutique, hands-on winery, very much red Bordeaux variety orientated, and comprising 12 ha of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir grapes. Wines are made more using Old-World techniques with New-Age attitude. Their winemaking style is kept simple and true to the character of the land and soil ('terroir wines'). They aim to make “Organic Single Vineyard” wines.

Star Hill
Star Hill Wines have 9 ha of single block vineyard on the Tradouw Highlands (between Montagu and Barrydale). At 723m above sea level on the northern side of the Langeberg Mountains, their wine offers something unique, with Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Viognier and Shiraz in the range available from small wine shops.

Stark-Condé
Stark-Condé is a family-owned winery making hand-crafted premium wines. Our farm is located in the Jonkershoek Valley in Stellenbosch. Renowned for its beauty, the higher elevation mountain vineyards are also ideal for growing grapes, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon. They use traditional methods: hand-picking, meticulous sorting of the grapes, open fermentation, hand-punchdowns, basket pressing, and careful maturation in small French oak barrels. The wines are bottled without fining or filtration whenever possible. Total production is about 6,000 cases. Three Pines and Stark-Condé wines are available from their tasting room and local distribution channels, as well as online.

Stellar Winery
Stellar Winery produces wines made from organically-grown grapes. Live-a-Little is an entry-level range featuring a red, a rosé, a blended white and a semi-sweet white wine. The Stellar Organics wines are more serious and structured, with light wooding of the reds for flavour. Stellar Organics No-Added-Sulphur is a range of red wines ideal for consumers with sulphite sensitivity. Lastly, Heaven on Earth is a superb, multi-award-winning dessert wine that is a unique product of the region.
All their products are vegan-friendly and Fairtrade certified. They are available from Woolworths (own brand Woolworths Organic), Pick n Pay, Wellness Warehouse, Ultra Liquors and Spar Tops.

Stellekaya Wines
Stellekaya wine is made from selected grapes which are from their own farm and some are bought around the Stellenbosch region. The grapes are crushed, hand sorted, cold soaked and fermented with selected yeast. When fermentation is finished, the skin is separated with a basket press and the wine goes to the barrels. Secondary fermentation takes place and when finished, the wine gets racked, removing the lees, and then it's taken back to barrels for maturation. Sulphur adjustments and acid adjustments are done when necessary. All wines are therefore vegan.

Sterhuis Wines
Hugging the lofty slopes of the Bottelary Hills, caressed by crisp ocean breezes from both the Atlantic and Indian, Sterhuis' star is clearly on the rise. For here, in the deep, coffee-coloured soils, grapes of stellar quality are grown. The cool microclimate allows the fruit to develop unhurriedly, gradually ripening to full intensity. So full of character and rich in nuances are these grapes, that precious little human intervention is required to transform them into worthy wines.

Waverley Hills
Waverley Hills Estate is situated between Tulbagh and Ceres, at the foothills of the Witzenberg Mountain Range. The estate is best known for producing organic wines with a unique style, being extremely smooth with soft ripe tannins and a robust fynbos characteristic. Vegan wines are labelled as such, and this is currently Cabernet Sauvignon with no added sulphites.
