A delicious fruity smoothie, a good choice at breakfast time for a great start to the day.
Almond milk or rice milk
Handful of frozen or fresh berries
Handful of baby spinach leaves
Superfoods of your choice (choose from flax seeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds, hemp powder, pumpkin seeds, baobab powder, wheatgrass powder)
- Add approx 1 cup of raw almond milk or rice milk (Woolworths sell rice milk) to a blender.
- Add approx 1 cup of apple juice.
- Add handful frozen or fresh berries, 1-2 bananas, (a handful of baby spinach leaves - optional) and 1 tablespoon of each superfood of your choice such as hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds, baobab powder, wheatgrass powder.
- Blend and enjoy.
- This makes approx 2-3 glasses; you can add more or less liquid depending how thick you like it or try adding ¼-½ an avocado to make it extra creamy.
