Fudge is a soft, sweet and rich type of Western confectionery which is usually made by mixing and heating sugar, butter, and milk into a smooth, creamy consistency. It can be made in variety of flavors, and fruits and nuts are sometimes added. It is thought that chocolate fudge originated in the USA.
6 Tbsp vegan margarine
440g icing sugar
60g cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
60 ml soya milk
100g chopped nuts (optional)
- Lightly grease a medium sized loaf pan.
- Mix the vegan margarine, icing sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract and soya milk in a heatproof bowl. Place over simmering water and stir until smooth. Add nuts if desired.
- Pour swiftly in to the prepared loaf pan. Allow to chill thoroughly before cutting into squares.
