Chocolate Fudge

Fudge is a soft, sweet and rich type of Western confectionery which is usually made by mixing and heating sugar, butter, and milk into a smooth, creamy consistency. It can be made in variety of flavors, and fruits and nuts are sometimes added. It is thought that chocolate fudge originated in the USA.

Ingredients

Vegan Chocolate Fudge6 Tbsp vegan margarine
440g icing sugar
60g cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
60 ml soya milk
100g chopped nuts (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  • Lightly grease a medium sized loaf pan.
  • Mix the vegan margarine, icing sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract and soya milk in a heatproof bowl. Place over simmering water and stir until smooth. Add nuts if desired.
  • Pour swiftly in to the prepared loaf pan. Allow to chill thoroughly before cutting into squares.
Serves 24 people
