Soil for Life
Soil for life is a Cape Town based, non profit organization. They teach the people of the Cape how to sustainably grow their own food. At their resource centre in Constantia they host educational workshops and sell seedlings, compost, vegetables, superfoods, rootstock crisps, cordials, teas, jams, chutneys and vegan cakes, among other things.
All proceeds raised in their shop go back into township projects. Their motto: "Together we can green the Cape!"
The Hungry Herbivore - situated inside the V&A Waterfront Food Market on Wharf - focuses on creating delicious, nutritious, raw vegan dishes, cupcakes, cheesecakes, snacks and nut/seeds milks that are pure and tasty.
Open 7 days a week it's accessible to get a healthy meal any day of the week. Any cheesecake orders for private functions can also be placed.
Kale chips and raw superfood truffles are also sold and everything is made in house by the Hungry Herbivore team.
